STEAMBridge, an Innovative Learning Hub for STEAM Enthusiasts, Announces Launch

ASHBURN, Va., April 9, 2022 – STEAMBridge, an innovative learning hub for people seeking to develop skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math (STEAM), is proud to announce its launch. Through experiential learning, STEAMBridge empowers students to thrive in a world driven by innovation – bridging the gap between traditional STEAM education and emerging technologies.

STEAMBridge offers STEAM-focused workshops providing opportunities for Digital Pioneers to solve complex problems while working with emerging technologies. Students adopt an entrepreneurial mindset; acquire softs skills such as communication, creative problem-solving, empathy, decision-making, and collaboration; and learn how to best navigate careers and opportunities in STEM fields.

“We believe the future belongs to those who can tackle complex challenges with innovation, teamwork, and cutting-edge technology,” said Joel Scharlat, CEO of STEAMBridge. “We’re passionate about providing the environment, curriculum, and framework that enables our students to do just that.”

The STEAMBridge philosophy “Build, Code, Do” serves as a foundational roadmap for its approach to education. First, students delve into the physical construction of projects, like building a 3D printer, gaming PC, or drone from scratch. They then learn how to code and program their creations, such as mastering 3D design software for printing or programming a drone. Finally, they put their newfound knowledge to the test in exciting team challenges, like collaborating with peers to solve a real-world problem using their new 3D printers or building a local area network for gaming.

“Experiential education changes lives – we’re committed to providing those learning experiences that inspire individuals of all ages,” said Scharlat. “Our vision is to build a world where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential and contribute their unique talents to solve global problems.”

STEAMBridge is a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). It is headquartered in Ashburn, Virginia but offers workshops at various locations in Northern Virginia, partnering with local organizations throughout the community.
